Telephone Counselling during COVID-19 Corona Virus Pandemic
Telephone counselling sessions focus on anxiety and stress reduction, coping strategies and meditation skills.
Free 25 minute sessions are offered to those in financial need. Otherwise, please choose regularly priced 25 or 50 minute sessions when booking online.
Our regular sessions may be covered by extended health plans or government funded programs. Please see information below or contact us for more information.
Coverage for Counselling Services
Extended Health Options
Check with your insurance provider to ask if they cover a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC). Client pays by credit card and a receipt is provided to submit to their insurance company for reimbursement.
Green Shield and SSQ Insurance
If your insurance with Green Shield or SSQQ Insurance, than we can direct bill them. Contact us to determine if you are eligible. Please have your Plan Number available.
If you have been involved in a motor vehicle accident, you are entitled to receive 12 counselling sessions. Please have your claim number ready when contacting us. We direct bill ICBC.
First Nation Health Authority (FNHA)
Contact us to find out if you are eligible. We obtain prior approval and direct bill FNHA.
If you are a current client, select the FNHA appointment type when booking online.
Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP)
Contact us and provide your claim number and we’ll book you in. We direct bill CVAP.
If you are a current client, select the CVAP appointment type when booking online.
Extended Health Coverage
Our services are NOT covered by British Columbia Medical Services Plan but may be covered by some extended health plans. Please call your insurance provider to confirm that they cover a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) prior to your first visit.
A receipt is provided so that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
First Nation Health Authority (FNHA) Mental Wellness Program
Mental Wellness and Counselling is designed to support clients in need of professional assistance to resolve emotional distress and enjoy greater wellness. Please contact us to find out if you are eligible for the First Nation Health Authority funding program.
Method of Payment
A credit card is required by our online booking system to schedule an appointment. We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express and Visa-branded debit. This will be charged at the time of your appointment.
No credit card? Although you cannot make advance bookings, you can contact us on the day you wish to come in to see if there is availability for same-day booking.
Cancellation policy and fees
Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation or missed visit leaves a space in the therapists’ day that could have been filled by another patient.
We require 24-hour notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment.
