qEEG Brain Scan & Assessment

The Brain Scan

Before beginning any scan and assessment, we go over a client’s general health history and areas of concern before moving on to the assessment itself.

For the scan, clients are seated in a super comfortable spot and fitted with a special cap with 20 tiny sensors that are hooked up to a computer. These sensors measure the electrical activity in the brain and map it out to see where activity is occurring or not. It’s called a quantitative electroencephalogram, or qEEG. Clients can actually see the brain in action, which is a pretty cool experience!

The QEEG assessment takes about 5 to 10 minutes, during which clients sit back, eyes closed, and relax. The entire process is quick, painless and quite relaxing.

 

 

The assessment

Images taken during the scan allow us to produce a detailed report of brain activity. By examining the mapping images, we can identify any areas of imbalance – that’s where neurological blocks can occur – and create a customized neurofeedback treatment plan to target those areas. As the brain begins to rebalance, quality of life improves.
